The
cycle of your business is similar to your personal cycle. A personal
year is established at birth. You are born into 1 of 9 cycles and remain
in that cycle throughout life. You progress through 9 years, with each
year emphasizing a different energy designated by a number. The progression
of the years is consistent from 1 to 9 and then starts over with a 1
year. If you plan your activities to be consistent with the energies
of the year, you accomplish more with less effort.
At first blush, the process of determining your business
cycle seems to be straightforward based upon a simple calculation. You
use the starting date of your business as the birth date. From that
date you calculate the personal year. Sometimes you need to use persuasion
to get the date that works best for you. When we incorporated Life Path
Numerology Center, Inc. we filed the paperwork on the chosen day. The
Clerk informed us that the papers would be processed the following day.
By explaining why we needed that day, we found an ally in another clerk
in that office who understood numerology, and who backed these "crazy"
people that would think an extra day could make a difference.
The challenge arises from determining
the start date of an unincorporated business. Obviously, a corporation
begins on the date the incorporation papers are approved, but when does
your home business start? No doubt you began thinking about your business
for some period of time, maybe even for years, before you actually launched
it. There was a period of planning, perhaps seeking counsel and financing
possibilities. Should the start date be that first glimmer? Probably
not.
Choose a significant event to mark the start. This
event could be the date of financing, setting up a business bank account,
signing an office or storefront lease, publishing your web site or the
day you definitely say, "I am going to do it." Once you establish
the date it becomes set. Always use it as your founding date. This date
will determine the cycle of your business. After this point the only
way to change the cycle is to incorporate or to dissolve the business
and start over.
The choice of cycles can be the difference between the
success or failure of the business. Considering this publication as
a separate business entity with a start date of November 2, 2001, we
are beginning it at the end of a 7 personal year. The 8 energy of next
year is beginning to be felt. The coming 8 year is a business and financial
peak.
When you begin a new business,
you want to be sure that the business cycle is compatible with your
personal cycle. Otherwise you may find yourself out of sync with the
business. The resulting conflict can cause early burnout and emotional
detachment.
Determine your personal year
and the business personal year by adding together the digits of the
month of birth + the day of birth + the total of the digits of the current
year (the universal year). Keep adding until you get a single digit.
Example 1: born today 11+2+(2001)3=16=7, 2001 is a 7 personal year.
Example 2: born February 26, 1938 2+2+6+(2001)3=13=4 2001 is a 4 personal
year.
The personal year does not depend upon the year of your birth. Therefore,
any person or business born on February 26, no matter what year, will
be in the same personal year.
