Everything
in the Universe is composed of the panch mahabhuta
(the 5 elements) - water,earth,air,fire,ether.
Sound
creates form,the universe itself is said to have emerged
from the Big Bang.Vowels produce different sounds
which correspond to the panch mahabhuta,adding vowels
brings in different elements,so it is crucial to check
elemental harmony of the name and birthday.
If
you have a fire birthday(number 9),you must be careful
that your phonetic name does not add upto number 2(
water name), as there is incompatibility between fire
and water.
Essential
rules for keeping phonetically correct names are:
1. Initial letter of your
name should begin with your Moon rashi-nakshatra
in concord with your rising sign in the birth chart.
2. The Moon rashi,
fate/destiny number,whichever is stronger be used
to keep the name.
3. If the rising sign
is weak,use the moon sign,if that
too is weak,then the friendly planet of rashi or ascendant
be taken.
4. Initials of name should
not be of weak/inimical planet in your birth
chart.eg.if Saturn is weak in the chart do not have
initials beginning with B,J,K,G,S,Da,even though you
may have fate no 8(ruled by Saturn).

If
your name is not in accordance with the above
do not worry.Pronouncing names phonetically right
is more important,so spell your names correctly.The
best solution for this is to write and sign your
name in the devnagiri script.If your name is Monica
don’t corrupt it by spelling it as Municaa,Kishore
can’t be spelt as Kieshore. Adding extra i’s
and a’s needlessly as in the example will
only create a confused personality as the phonetics
will be incorrect and everyone will pronounce your
name differently.
Someone
born on 8.9.1980 at 4.55 a.m. will have fate number
8 and Moon rashi of Simha(Leo)and Magha
nakshatra,so his name should start with alphabet
Ma and add upto 1.Though his fate no.is 8,since
Saturn is malefic for his rising sign Leo,he should
not use a name adding to 8,instead he must choose
a name that adds to 1(ruled by Sun),which is strong
in the chart. A person whose birth nakshatra is
debilitated will be sickly,if the swara is debilitated
he will be in mourning or tragedy,if the rashi is
debilitated he will have problems and if his janam
tithi is debilitated he will have fears. If even
two or three of these are debilitated there are
problems at work.But if your rashi name,nakshatra,varna
and swara are debilitated you must be careful in
particular months.
According
to the western view it has been indicated
which days are suitable, but the Indian view is
that the ruler of either the ascendant or the moon
rashi,whichever is powerful must be used or the
friendly planet of both the moon rashi and ascendant
lord must be used as a lucky day.It has been observed
that for many years a particular number is favourable,but
later it becomes unfavourable,this is because if
a planetary dasha is unfavourable then that number
too becomes unfavourable.
